Zhongguancun human settlements engineering and materials research institute is a public welfare research and development institution established under the guidance of Zhongguancun Science and Technology Park Management Committee.

Supported by material science, the research institute is committed to the research and development of application technology of materials and products for human settlements, and the integrated development of new industrial assembly type residence through component system. Meanwhile, it provides complete equipment design and turnkey engineering services for manufacturing new building materials.

With innovation as the basis for survival and development, the research institute has obtained some patents and proprietary technologies representing the leading level at home and abroad in its industry, forming a unique core competitive advantage. The interior wall decoration glaring crystal board and its manufacturing technology developed by our institute have solved the problem of low-cost materials high-grade application in China's construction industry, and its product technology has not been reported in the world; two kinds of self-developed integrated housing systems, ultra-low energy consumption housing and isolation type housing, have broken through the traditional energy-saving and seismic limit, and filled in the domestic technical gap.

Located in the core innovation zone of Zhongguancun, talents and scientific and technological resources are our biggest advantages. Through cooperation in training graduate students, building postdoctoral workstations, building open laboratories and R & D bases, we have established close cooperation with famous universities and institutes around us, and on this basis, we have formed an expert committee chaired by academicians to provide decision support for the development thinking and direction of the Research Institute.

The research institute has built the industrial base of technological achievements transformation in Zhangjiakou, Hebei Province.
